The Storytelling Summit

The Storytelling Summit
Event on 2017-05-06 09:00:00
Embrace the wild, wonderful, & weird in your story When we spend time with our friends, we have no trouble sharing our stories. We talk with ease about our families, our vacations and our day-to-day challenges. Human beings have traditionally been the caretakers of our family stories. We've passed down our histories and fables through artful, colourful, engaging stories.  But when it comes to our businesses, we are suddenly at a loss for words. Why does that happen? Because we second guess our own talents. We play down our accomplishments. We shy away from the spotlight. You built a successful business. It’s time to share and shine. During this full-day workshop you’ll learn: How to silence the negative voices in your head How to present your best business self in any situation How to figure out and tell your business story to the media How the "gold" in your birth date supports you in business & in life How to present your authentic self in video VIEW THE AGENDA HERE! How you’ll learn: Dynamic presenters with interactive presentations Workshops that will challenge and engage Group activities – so you’ll have to get along Video coaching that isn’t scary Personal work that prepares you to move forward And there will be plenty of time to network, brainstorm and connect with other business owners. During this business-shifting day, you’ll be encouraged to embrace your quirky side. You’ll be coached on how to get over the jitters of being in front of the camera. You’ll learn to be okay with sucking at some things and learn how to celebrate that vulnerability in a way that will boost your business. At the end of the day, you'll leave with a clear idea of what you need to do to build your business, a new-found confidence in the choices you make for yourself and your business, the foundation for a story the media will want to share and a concrete plan for video content for the next year. Every detail will be handled and everything is included with your ticket: the workshops, lunch and all snacks. All you have to do is bring your notebook, your business cards and a desire to learn. Join an up-and-coming group of business owners who are eager to share, grow and learn.  OUR SPEAKERS For the past 20 plus years Christina Rowsell has been a recognized broadcast professional in Calgary.
